On 4th September 2016 the First Minister announced the formation of a Growth Commission. Its long-awaited report will, we are told, set out the currency plan for an independent Scotland. Aidan Skinner Campbell today marks the passage of a notable period of time since its creation, in a song dedicated to Andrew Wilson and his team.
When I wake up, well you know I’m gonna tweet,
I’m gonna be the man who’s got a gif to use.
When it comes out, yeah I know I’m gonna be
I’m not gonna be the man who goes along with this
If I get drunk, well you know I’m gonna tweet,
I’m gonna be the man who tweets gifs at you.
And if I haver, yeah I know I’m gonna be
I’m gonna be the man who’s havering at you
But we’ve waited 500 days
And we might wait 500 more
Just to be the man who asks a thousand times
When the currency plan will get out the door
When I’m working, yes you know I’m gonna work,
I’m gonna be the man who’s working hard for you
And when the money comes in for the work I’ll do
It’ll be in pounds, because that’s in my contract.
When I come home, oh I know what I’m gonna pay
I’m gonna pay the rent in pounds, because that’s in the contract
And if I grow old, well I what know I’m gonna do
I’m gonna buy a pension in pounds because that’s what I’ve saved
But we’ve waited 500 days
And we might wait 500 more
Just to be the man who asks a thousand times
When the currency plan will get out the door
But we’ve waited 500 days
And we might wait 500 more
Just to be the man who asks a thousand times
When the currency plan will get out the door
How about this
when the report comes out when the report comes out when the report comes out when the report comes out
They are gonna back it they are gonna back it they are gonna back it right well
When the report comes out when the report comes they are gonna back it gonna back it
No matter what like hell
The good thing is, Adrian, when the S.N.P. comes up with a currency plan, yo write a parody of Dolly Parton’s “Nine To Five” and demand that the S.N.P. getting on with the day job.
twaddle.
At least he using a song by two well known Scottish independence supporters.
Ooooft ….. the independence cause will be reeling after that little ditty and no mistake. On the other hand, if this is the best loyalists have to offer, maybe not.
